This website is run by Ben Logan, trading as Built By Loges (“I”, “me”). I'm the data controller for information you share here. This policy explains what I collect, why, and your rights.
What I collect
Only what you choose to enter in the enquiry form:
- your business name (required)
- your website address, a message and how you'd like a reply (all optional)
- which service you're interested in
- the date and time you sent it
I don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and I don't collect your IP address or build a profile of you. See the cookie policy.
Why I use it
To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. The lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to an enquiry you chose to make) and, where it leads to work, taking steps at your request before entering a contract. I never sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.
Where it's kept
Form submissions are stored in a private backend on the Internet Computer, a decentralised network operated by independent data centres, some of which may be outside the UK. Only I can read the submissions, using a secure login. Data on the network is replicated across several nodes for resilience.
So that I can reply quickly, a copy of each enquiry is emailed to me using Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States, and kept in my business email inbox (Google). Both act on my instructions only and protect data under standard contractual safeguards for international transfers.
How long
I keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them, unless we go on to work together, in which case normal business record rules apply.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent, or object to how it's used. To make a request, email builtbyloges@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
